Last week, I released my new "Dark Energy III" theme. This introduced several innovations that weren't present in Dark Energy II - or indeed, any of my previous responsive themes. I was very happy with how it turned out - and thus, I promised to upgrade some of my older themes to the same standard. The first theme to receive such an upgrade is Golden Night.
Here's a quick rundown of what I've done:
- Introduced the Dark Energy III innovations - for example, several screens now have a more table-like layout, giving them a similar look and feel to the PC-based themes (while retaining full responsiveness on mobile).
- Toned down brighter fields - Some fields on the original Golden Night were very vibrant; for example, I think the member group colours were way too bright. I've toned these down a bit - so they still stand out, but to a more sensible extent
.
- Bug fixes - On the screenshot of the original Golden Night, you might also notice that the right-hand side of the background looks yellower than the left-hand side. This is due to a long-standing typo in the code, which has now been fixed. And while I was at it, I also modified a couple of more obscure fields that were still default.
- Minor tweaks - A few other fields here and there were brightened or darkened, just to fix slight nit-picks
.
Enjoy the new and improved Golden Night
