The 2022-23 season of the English Premier League kicked off last week. From now until the end of May 2023, the top 20 football clubs in England and Wales will each play the other 19 clubs twice (once at home and once away), giving us a total of 380 matches.
Manchester City are the two-time defending champions, but other teams are sure to be fancying their chances - especially Liverpool, who missed out by only one point last year. And this season sees the return of Fulham, Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest following their promotion from the Championship - so, it'll be interesting to see how they get on!
However, one result really stands out from the second week so far:
Brentford 4 - 0 Manchester United
Yikes . That's the dream start for Brentford, but the nightmare start for Manchester United! Is it just a blip, or a sign of things to come?
