So much as windows has the windows store and mac has the apple software store (or whatever it's called these days), Linux has package managers. For a long time packages were installed in the command line, some examples include: Pacman (package manager, kinda on the noes), Aptitude, APT (Advanced Package manager), YUM, And RPM (Redhat Package Manager). However there are several now that are nice graphical interfaces as well.
My Current favorite is actually flatpack as it makes installing games and such super simple with a lot more supported applications but I still fall back on apt and apt-build depending on what it is I'm trying to accomplish, the latter of course compiling from source.
So what are some of your favorite package managers? what ones have you used or are familiar with?
