Was not entirely sure where to put this but I wanted to ask for a second opinion on this.

I've had a few false starts with youtube and such over the years.  but it seems with twitch I'm starting to get somewhere, maybe.

I wanted to know if A: it might be a good idea to focus on the tech aspects which seem to be more popular than gaming among my handful of stream viewers.  And B: maybe I should do a build and design focused stream rather than a gaming one.

I'm curious because If I go all in on this... I have a space I can make into a proper full workspace/Streaming setup but I haven't really been willing to go all in on that just yet.

It'd be more discussing science and engineering, designing stuff, putting any work done on stream up in a github, and answering questions.  so part design stream, part discussion stream part chat stream.

I'm sorta looking for feedback to get some idea if this might be good or bad?

Since this is about one of your personal creative projects, I think it'd be most at home in the Community Showcase, so I've moved it there.

Also, I've changed the topic title, to make it more descriptive (as per the guidelines on topic titles):

Quote:1. Make the title descriptive. For example, if you need help with something, then the thread title should say what it is that you need help with, and not just "I need help!". (The only exception to this, where a less descriptive title would be preferable, is when it's necessary to avoid giving away spoilers; see the 'Spoilers' section below)

Anyway, my advice would be to just do what you're most passionate about. If you're doing what you want, then you'll get more fun out of it - and the audience you attract will be a better fit for you. Even if it's a smaller audience, it's probably better to have a Twitch with 100 viewers that you genuinely enjoy, than one with 10,000 viewers that feels like a second job.
