Plot twists you never saw coming

Right, so we love a plot twist that is so shocking we don’t expect it. What plot twists have you guys been mind blown by? I will start!

Gone Girl

A man’s family appears to have been kidnapped or murdered. The whole movie he’s frantically trying to find them at the hospital. Turns out he actually killed them and they never went to the hospital.

Stranger Things

Vecna. In season 4, we finally find out the origin of Eleven escaping the lab and more of her backstory. We all knew Vecna would be related to the Upside down but his identity… no. I worked out that the assistant at the lab was going to be 001, however I did not see him as being Vecna. It makes sense and ties in the whole story really nicely in my opinion.

Harry Potter

Snape. Him killing Dumbledore was shocking but him actually being a good guy was the biggest plot twist of all time. The memories in his tears wow, imagine going THAT many books being that hated to this.

• Oh Il-nam (Player #001) was behind it all. I thought there was something odd about him (especially when we didn't see him get shot), but I didn't think it was this.

The whole astroprojecting stuff. Turns out that Rob hops from woman’s body to body to keep ahold of David. I remember being so mind blown.

The Haunting House of Bly Manor

Hannah’s death. I remember screaming when she was dead in the well. She was dead the whole time!!! Like… the foreshadowing wow.

Disenchantment

Bean's mother, Queen Dagmar, was the one responsible for (accidentally) poisoning herself - and, after being revived from that, she became the main villain of the series!

Agatha All Along

Not only do we find out that the Witch’s Road wasn’t real but was conjured by Billy, we also learn that Agatha is actually the one who made the song with her son. She used this song to lure in witches and get them to attack her so she can take their powers and kill them. I can imagine that this is fuelled by grief but what a plot twist.

Baiten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean

When I first played this game I never once thought that the main protag of the game: Kalas would ever betray me. I was wrong. Kalas betrays you for the gift of white wings all to serve Malpercio and Melodia. You do how ever do get Kalas back as a party member; eventually.
