The thread on Smooth Criminal has given me some inspiration.
The first of a few of these I'm going to do is a battle between The Supremes, Phil Collins, and any of the other less consequential versions of this classic track.
The original:
Phil's version:
Aside from the obvious gender difference between the singers and the different key (B-flat major in the original versus G major in Phil's version) there is actually very little different between the two and they both end up as what they set out to be: a saccharine pop bop. There's a reason I put on a "¿Por que no los dos?" option. I can't decide between the two.
