School may seem like a long time ago, and you may not think you need the knowledge you learned back then, but it's always nice to know all the time you spent on it hasn't gone to waste. But thousands of adults have been left wondering whether they were actually paying attention in school after a Year 5 maths exam question left them stumped.
The tricky question, which was intended for 10 to 11 year olds, has recently resurfaced on Reddit, asked students to find out exactly how many pages there were in a book. It might seem like a very simple mathematical equation - but only the most intelligent and logical were able to answer it.
Okay - so, here's my attempt at a solution:
Could I have got this when I was in Year 5? I think so - I did know the rules of algebra back then - but I would've found it to be one of the more difficult questions on the paper! What about you?
