Characters who deserved better

Claudia from The Baby Sitters Club comes to mind from me.

i feel the creators are a little too hard on her sometimes from the episodes I saw with her </3 haha…

Although I guess it’s part of how they tell her stories. I still feel bad for her, though.

I get that they had to do it so they could stock up on weapons... but that doesn't mean the family deserved it!

Justice League Dark: Apokolips War

Nightwing, after movie after movie getting fooled, tooled, and schooled gets impaled to death by a Paradoom and subsequently resurrected with a Lazarus Pit only to go mad. And this guy’s supposed to have been the OG Robin and can fight Batman to a draw.

I agree with you. I also felt bad for her. Unfortunately, in the books her parents are that hard on her and Janine didn't help matters either.

Vikings: Valhalla

Yrsa.

Gets severely injured in an unprovoked attack by a berserker, then manages to find help... only to then be killed by Jarl Kåre and his men .

That unlucky sucker Ivan the Terrible was torturing by horse pulling and got violently ripped apart. At least Cortés ensured he was avenged and his torturer robbed of gold.

Scream

Dewy. He was such a sweetheart and it looked like he had potential to reconcile with Gale, especially since he bumped into her and she phoned him as he was dying. He had a big heart and survived so much. His death was pretty noble, but then I’m pretty sure it he hadn’t have gone back in then he would’ve been safe… or be hunted by Scream later anyways. At least he saved them and was being noble.

Jorundr Torvilsson.

Gets his hand chopped off for a crime he didn't commit (and indeed, didn't even happen in the first place ).
