Simple thread here: just post and discuss random facts about books .
I'll start with:
1) J.K. Rowling wrote and re-wrote the first chapter of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone a great many times (she once said "about 15 times", but another site claims it was 155 times). But, however many there were, she discarded most of them because they gave too much away (and in fact, she claims that if you combined all of her discarded first chapters of Philosopher's Stone, then you'd get almost the whole plot of the entire series )
So, do you have any other interesting book-related facts that you'd like to share?
