Dromornis vs Canis dirus(pack of 3)
#1
Canis dirus/Dire wolf

This is the sigil of House Stark and the largest species in genus Canis. Hunting in large packs, they slaughtered the deadly Pleistocene megafauna.
Length: 1.6 meters

Despite the weight advantage enjoyed by the bird, I'm going to go with the direwolves here. The legs of the Dromornis look very vulnerable and exposed, and the direwolves should be able to take advantage of that to destabilise it, especially if they work together.

I'm going to vote for the same. Maybe if it was one, I bet Dromornis could fight it off, but three? No way.

To be fair, Dromornis did deal with terrestrial crocodiles and predatory marsupials so it probably would have a way of countering shorter predators.
PS It was the dire wolves or the Boltacyon.

Now factually updated. Even with the new information on Dromornis, the dire wolves still win. We are never, ever, EVER getting back together!

What's the new information? Just extra size/weight?

If that's all it is, then I don't see it helping Dromornis. It's still a large, lumbering beast without much in the way of defence against more than one wolf. (Yes, its legs and beak are powerful, but it'll have trouble using those to fend off multiple attackers at once).

Pretty much that.
And “We are never, ever, ever, ever getting back together” is the new motto of House Stark in my mind until The Winds of Winter is released.
