I just discovered that the pop-up that shows when you Like a post is a bit broken. Instead of saying "Added Like", it says "Added {1}":



This is a known issue, which is related to the MyBB 1.8.34 upgrade, and is expected to be fixed in the next release of the plugin. For now, there is a temporary fix in the linked thread, which I might implement if I get a few minutes to spare - but it's not something I'm prioritising .

My life is not complete without this bug fix.

I had trouble logging in just now. I got message "authorization code mismatch" whatever that means. I had a similar scenario last year where i couldnt log in at all and ended up creating a whole new acct

Yeah, I've run into that occasionally... usually it's on my phone, but when that happens, refreshing the page often solves it .

Hopefully, it won't end up with you having to create a new account, but let me know if it does, and I'll be happy to combine it into your existing one.

I guess it's possible - although, if the error's started just now, I'd consider it unlikely (because I haven't updated any plugins since the PHP 8.x upgrade, which was finished about a month ago).

Do you still get the issue when using the login screen, instead of the main board index?

Actually it only happens "sometimes" i think i suspect different browsers i use...as you say, refreshing does help

Someone -won't say who- sent me a private message letting me know I can send them private messages. Upon trying to, the site tells me the other person has private messaging disabled and I can't send them anything. I'm not sure if that's an issue or if that's how the site works, and I didn't find a better place to ask...

I suspect that means you're on their ignore list. If it bothers you that they can send you messages, but you can't - then, the best thing is probably to just put them on your ignore list .

If you suspect that you're on their ignore list in error, then let me know who it is in PM, and I can reach out to them. (Or, if you think they're doing this specifically to annoy you, you can always report them!)
