So here's a weird rare event...
First you have a star and a Black hole orbiting each other, normally the black hole eats the star right?, It's usually the bigger of the two in terms of mass slowly feeding off the star stripping away layers like an onion.
Well not this time, it's a galactic double cannibalism. You see first the star absorbs the black hole, winning that initial tug of war, however that wasn't the end. The black hole then went on to eat the core of the star causing it to explode leaving only the black hole behind in a nebula of gas and dust.
strangest thing I've ever heard of but certainly a very interesting case of stranger things in the heavens than can be dreamed of in one's philosophy.
