Interesting - I don't think I know anyone who's been to Nicaragua!

What brought you there, and what was it like?

I was apart of a club in high school that did volunteer work. Every year a couple people from the club were selected to go to a country in Africa(Don't remember which country) or Nicaragua to help build a school for a couple of weeks. Junior year I was selected to go to Nicaraqua and spent a couple of weeks there. I lived with a host family and walked to the build site every day.
From getting lost because there was heavy rain flooding my way back from river I followed, learning about the culture to almost getting quarantined because of the swine flu. It was an experience of a lifetime
A girl geek trying to understand the forces of comics, books, sci-fi, languages, ancient cultures, physics, computers and daily life. A Journal about the mysteries and unexplained answers in my life.
A journey about the different subjects I learn. On a mission to learn everything!

Well, I'm glad you enjoyed it and found it worthwhile :) !

I certainly never got the chance to do anything like that :( . I think my sister was given the chance to go to Indonesia, but nothing came of it in the end.

Right, I'm an international student so don't be too surprised

I was born in the UK United Kingdom but moved to Belgium Belgium soon after.
My family is Mauritian Mauritius so we went back when I was three and I grew up there.
We've visited extended family and friends in Singapore Singapore Brunei Brunei and France France before I could remember much. Later on we visited Luxembourg Luxembourg and China China to visit even more family. I accompanied my Dad for work in New York United States
I've moved back to UK for university and have travelled with friends to Czech Republic Czechrepublic , Denmark Denmark and Sweden Sweden (hehe..) and finally Morocco Morocco

I'm very blessed to have travelled so much :)

Just edited my post to add Spain, since I went to Barcelona today.

(I've also been to Norway a total of five times now. I don't think I've visited any of the other countries more than once!)

They all have their appeal. It's difficult to pick favourites. Driving into Kiev was a blast and something I never thought I'd do, but I've only been to Ukraine twice and couldn't claim any detailed knowledge of the place. France sticks out because I've been there dozens of times and visited every mainland département. Most of my best memories concern not so much the places I've been to, but the people I've met while travelling.

Including owned islands (territories) of other countries to show more of a variety. Some places I've been to more than once.

England (for I live in that country), Wales, Scotland, Ireland, Jersey, France, Spain, Mallorca, Menorca, Tenerife, Portugal, Madeira, Germany, Norway, Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina (albeit rather briefly), Cyprus, Italy, Vatican City, Rhodes, Iceland, USA, Canada (for about two hours), Isle Of Man.

Doesn't seem very much when I put it like that.  Only got out of Europe for the first time a few years ago and that was to the USA. Haven't travelled to any other continents.
