Today, Astros Owner, Jim Crane announced the firings of both Manager, AJ Hinch, and General Manager Jeff Luhnow.
This came after the announcement of the 1-Year Suspensions Implemented by the MLB after investigations covering the cheating scandal.
The Astros are punished with a $5 Million Penalty and loss of a First Round Pick in the 2020 and 2021 MLB Drafts.
Investigations continue towards the former Astros Bench Coach and current Red Sox Manager, Alex Cora, as he faces similar allegations.
CONTEXT:
After the 2019 World Series, the MLB began their investigations after allegations came to light claiming that the Astros used technology to steal signs to determine what TYPE of pitch will be thrown to the Astros batter. These allegations further increased when a lifelong-Yankees fan and internet user Jomboy released damning evidence of Astros cheating with the use of banging a trash bin during a regular season game.

These allegations went as far as the 2017 World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers, where they became champions after 7 games. The video below claims that the Astros used a variety of WHISTLES to indicate what pitch will be thrown.

As a result of these continuing allegations, the investigations has ended with the suspensions of both the Astros Manager and GM, penalties put onto the team, and their subsequent firings from the club.
Additionally, the Red Sox Manager is now under scrutiny for similar accusations. The Red Sox won the 2018 World Series against the LA Dodgers.
This is quite a story the moment the offseason started. Now I don't pay much attention to Baseball, but this was a story I noticed since the beginning of the offseason.
Yes, this is really bad towards the Astros organization, and I do believe that the firings were the right cause of action. Why would you stay with the two people who were directly involved in the Scandal itself?
Of course, I would say that the LA Dodgers were robbed. And while I will say yes, they may have been scuffed of a WS win(s), however, due to unfortunate reasons (fan of SF Giants (big rival)), I cannot bring myself to feel bad for the Dodgers. I do believe that they had a chance to win, but they had many opportunities go to waste during the two Series.
I don't condone any sort of cheating whatsoever, however this is some level that I did not like at all.
