So... I'm extremely surprised by this.

I checked everything I both wanted to (but have yet not) read and have read and the total number is now 507 books. I didn't even know I had set my sights on that many!

"The War At Ellsmere" by Faith Erin Hicks - 5/5.

Lots of fives lately, I know, but they are all deserved.

"Wild Bird" by Diane Zahler - 5/5.

Pretty tough 5/5 to give! But my slowness was due to burnout rather than boredom, and I enjoyed this quite a bit.

Wow, lots of 5/5 books lately :O !

Have you become any more lenient, or are they all genuinely that good :P ?

Good question, actually... on one hand, most have been graphic novels that did their part of looking awesome. And the novels entertained me deeply. The last one, I finished in two sittings.

But on the other hand... would they ALL keep their perfect scores under scrutiny? No, I really don't think so. But at the time, it felt right.

I'm burned out to the point of having abandoned two books very early, but this one is doing all the right things:
