Jaluna's Proof-Editing Service - Juneberry - 08-02-2019

Hey there everyone! I'm an editor by trade, and I'd love to help edit your work. Whether it's a short story, some poetry, or even a major school project you want down pat, I'll be happy to proofread and edit your work for you. I'm not sure what a fair price would be... Should we say 100 x pages? I think at least starting off, I should keep my price low.

First, let me tell you the difference between proofreading and editing.

Editing
Editors make changes and give suggestions that will improve overall quality of your work. It especially focusses on consistency and the overall readability of your work. Things we look for include your vocabulary, the tone of the story, sentence length and structure, and things along those lines.

Proofreading
Proofreaders check for errors throughout your work: grammar and spelling are the tip of the ice berg. Basically, what we do is find as many errors as we can/your project has, correct your use of punctuation if we find an issue, seek out typos, and all that fun stuff.

I'm a mixture of these two things. I lack the ability to not proofread while editing and vice versa. They come naturally to me.

Anyway, now that you understand my services, here's the basics on how it works.
1. I request your project be in google docs, with shared editing turned on.
2. I will make all my edits and comments in suggestion mode.
3. You choose which things to change based on my edits and comments. You can also respond to my comments or edit ideas- I'm more than happy to talk shop!

I'd like to be paid prior to the project. Right now, as I'm just starting up here, I'd like to keep to five to ten pages at a time maximum. I also note that while I will work as diligently as possible, I can't guarantee a set date I'll finish, but with google docs, you can see anything I've done so far and get an idea of where I am.

All that data and rules aside... Anyone need someone to proof and edit their work?
