Hawaiian/Alolan names for Pokémon - Detective Osprey - 05-10-2019

In the same vein as scientific names, here, I'll try and come up with some badass Hawaiian/Alolan names for Pokémon. Canonically, the only Pokémon with an Hawaiian/Alolan name is Alolan Vulpix.
Quote:It exhales air colder than -58 degrees Fahrenheit. Elderly people in Alola call this Pokémon by an older name—Keokeo.

Put it into google translate:
White

But we want all the Alolan Pokémon have Hawaiian names.

Let's start! I'm only going to include Pokémon that are in the Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon Pokédex.

Those are some interesting names :) !

Are you going to come up with any similar schemes for other Pokémon regions?

I would, but Pokémon already have French, German, Italian, etc. names already. This was just an idea because Pokémon don’t have Hawaiian names.

I have to admit, I rather like that name. It sound rather cute - and also onomatopoeic, given that it refers to a woodpecker  !

Added Trumbeak and Toucannon. I'll probably add more in the mean time.

Nice :D !

Admittedly, 'Tūkana' isn't very different from 'Toucannon'; however, there are some real-world scientific names that aren't very different from the common names, so it makes sense to have some that are similar here too :P .
