RE: Reconciliation - Kyng - 09-22-2018

"You know why he's useless?" Nestor growled, as he whipped Tom in the face and shoved him away. "It's because YOU keep traumatising him with your threats and attacks! Now, I know they need to learn discipline and respect, and I know I've been tough with my own children when teaching them to behave. But, one thing I have never, EVER done is tried to intimidate them with a deadly weapon. I've whipped and lashed them with the end of my tail - but ONLY my tail. It stings them and makes them cry, but they understand that it WON'T kill them. If you try to use a knife against him, he'll be useless because you've made him too scared to do anything!"

At this point, Sabine began crying, and retreated out of the room and down a hallway, in search of somewhere safer.

RE: Reconciliation - Megan - 09-22-2018

Tom growled as he climbed to his feet. "He's MY son and I can do as I please with him. You have no say in how I raise him! You may be his godfather, but I'm his father!"

Kyle meanwhile had gone with Sabine seeing how upset he was. He was trembling as he caught up with her. "I...I'm sorry..."

RE: Reconciliation - Kyng - 09-22-2018

"That's where you're MISTAKEN, Waa Waa Angry ", Nestor growled, as he knocked Tom into one of the tables, causing a tankard of ale to spill over his head. "You don't OWN him. You have responsibilities to him as a parent. And right now, you're ignoring those responsibilities. In fact, if Kyle wants to leave and go back to New Atlantis, then as long as he behaves, he's more than welcome to!"

Sabine wrapped her arms around Kyle, and attempted to comfort him. However, it soon turned out that they weren't the only ones to seek refuge in this corridor. A small, young elf tip-toed timidly up to Kyle and Sabine, her bottom lip trembling.

"Kyle, don't apologise....it's my fault...."

RE: Reconciliation - Megan - 09-22-2018

Kyle blinked looking at the elf. "No, it isn't Lydia." he said with a sigh. "Its my fault...it always is..."

Tom grunted and coughed as he fell and the ale spilled on him. "You CANNOT take him anywhere! I forbid it!" he yelled.

RE: Reconciliation - Kyng - 09-24-2018

"Well, I'd like to see you try!" Nestor chuckled. "You've seen how quickly he bolts when he doesn't want to be around any more....what makes you think you can keep him here even if you want to?!"

Lydia didn't reply immediately. Instead, she listened intently to the yelling and clattering that was going on inside the hall, and attempted to figure out what was going on.

"Sounds like everyone's getting drunk," Lydia suggested. "It was probably right for us to leave. Now, why don't the three of us go up to the games room and play a game of pool or something like that?"

RE: Reconciliation - Megan - 09-24-2018

"I...I dunno...I guess if Sabine wants to..." Kyle said, still trembling.

"Why do you think I put bars on his windows?!" Tom yelled. "Why do you think Frederick follows him everywhere and he's not allowed out of his room?! He won't leave ever without my say so! Not even with you! You have no say in the matter!"

RE: Reconciliation - Kyng - 10-01-2018

"I'll tell you why I think you put bars on his windows," Nestor argued. "I think you did it because you're a draconian father who still treats him like a baby. You're far too strict with him - and this is coming from me. He's probably depressed because of you: I really don't blame him for wanting to escape!"

Sabine frowned, looking rather hesitant. "Uhhh, I'm not very good at pool. Last time I played, the white ball bounced right off the table and hit Rommel in the eye....I've been scared to play it ever since :( . But....perhaps you could teach me?"

RE: Reconciliation - Megan - 10-01-2018

Kyle snorted at this. "I kinda wanna see it..." he said. "Actually...too bad dad isn't playing. I'd be okay with that." he said. "But, I don't think I've played myself..."

"They're for his protection!" Tom snapped. "He kept sneaking outside by himself! He could get himself killed!" he moved over to Nestor glaring at him. "And quite honestly its none of your business. Nor is there anything you can do about it!"

RE: Reconciliation - Kyng - 10-03-2018

"Well, it's not too hard," Sabine responded authoritatively, as she strode over to the table, and picked up the cue. Then, she pointed the wrong end of the cue at the white ball, and knocked it as hard as she could - causing it to bounce off the far cushion before hopping off the end of the table.

"And why do you think he was sneaking out?!?!" Nestor yelled at the top of his voice. "Perhaps if you had shown him some love, he would want to stay in your castle?!?!"

RE: Reconciliation - Megan - 10-03-2018

"He shouldn't be leaving!" To, screamed. "If you're going to,be like this, you can get out! I don't want to see you anymore!"

Cassandra frowned, but started to tug at Nestor. "Let's just go...he's out of control..." she then whispered into Nestor's ear. "And I don't care what he says, we should take Kyle too..."

Kyle burst out laughing. "That was great!"
