Sure enough, a few seconds later, the rumbling was stopped dead in its tracks - and the companions felt a rather forceful *THUD* that knocked them all off their feet.
Shortly afterwards, they heard the faint echo of a cry of frustration - in a distinctly high-pitched Dwarvish voice.
"I...couldn't quite make that out..." Benjamin stammered, as he climbed back to his feet, "...but I think it sounded a bit like 'bleeding biscuit'
?"

"Does it matter what they said?" Lysander said rolling his eyes.
After that, it was a bit more quiet. No more rumbling. Kyle however, made sure to keep up the barriers.
You'd best stop... a familiar voice said to Kyle.
You can't handle keeping this size of barrier up for long...
Kyle simply shook his head, not even attempting to answer the voice. He kept the barriers up still, sweat coming down his face, and his breathing getting heavy.

Shortly afterwards, there came another *THUD*, which knocked poor Benjamin back to the ground once again.
"Kyle, you should probably at least drop the underground barrier," Aliana suggested. "You clearly don't have the energy for more than one... and, if it's who I think it is, they might be here to help..."

Kyle thought about arguing with Aliana, but decided to just do what she suggested. He removed the underground barrier, but kept up the one around the mountain.
You need to drop the other one too. the voice said to Kyle.
You'll die if you don't! I don't mind dying, but not you! Put it down now!
Again Kyle ignored the voice, keeping the barrier up.
I have to protect them...espeically...Aliana...

With the subterranean barrier down, the rumbling started up again for a few seconds - until, the granite face behind Aliana crumbled into a cloud of dust, sending boulders and rock fragments flying everywhere.
Once the dust cloud had dissipated, a petrified, yet awestruck Benjamin was left staring at a short, yet well-armoured and muscular Dwarvish lord. "So....y-you're the one who said bleeding biscuit
?"
"That's right, yer pint-sized professor!" Henrik chirped, giving Benjamin a forceful pat on the back. "I'll be helpin' yer friends with yer little predicament - bu' only if yer let me share yer supply o' biscuits!"

Kyle looked over at the dwarf. "D...don't care...about any...bisquits..." he gasped out.
...You need to stop right now. You're going to die! the voice cried in Kyle's hand.
That's fine...long as they can get out... Kyle responded in his mind.
Rupert shook his head. "And how do you expect to help?"

"I dugs me a tunnel from here to Kemmelhearth!" Henrik explained. "I can le' yer escape down i', an' then block the end - bu' first, I request me payment in biscuits!"
"I say we should do that," Aliana agreed. "You're not going to be able to hold them off once the barrier goes down anyway..."
RE: Reconciliation -
Megan - 06-26-2019
"Biscuits over there..." Kyle said pointing to where they were kept. "Grab...them and start going down..." Kyle said firmly.
Ben looked nervous. "Um...you're coming too right."
"I'll be right behind you guys..." Kyle said.

"Lemme go last," Henrik requested, as he shovelled handfuls of biscuits into his mouth. "I can seal up the entrance ter the tunnel. Unless yer got enough energy ter do it yerself wi' yer Earth magic? Here, eat these: they'll 'elp yer get yer spirit back!"
Henrik grabbed another handful of biscuits - and dumped around fifty of them into Kyle's arms.

Kyle was quiet a moment debating. Finally he nodded. “You can do it...”
