RE: Reconciliation - Kyng - 05-03-2020

By now, Anita was getting very fed up of all the bickering.

"Is he always like this -_- ?" she grumbled to Conor and Cheryl. "Because that's not what you told me at all... and if he is, then I don't know how you deal with him. Anyway, we were having a very nice conversation until he came in and spoiled it - so, if he's going to stay here, then I suppose I shall go back to my cabin. See you tomorrow..."

"He's not usually....he's..." poor Cheryl started to cry at this point.

RE: Reconciliation - Kyng - 05-03-2020

By now, Conor was incensed: Chris had annoyed his new friend into leaving, and also hurt his wife's feelings.

"Chris, you take that back NOW," Conor insisted. "Tell Cheryl you didn't mean it, and tell her you're sorry. And if you don't... then, I'm going to tell Nestor when we get back to New Atlantis. And it'll be up to him to punish you as he sees fit. And on top of that, we're not going to tell them that you'd rather have an adult body with your memories intact: we'll leave them to give you another child's body if they see fit. I'm sorry, but if you want us to respect your wishes, then you need to respect ours. And if you're really an adult, then you need to start acting like one."

RE: Reconciliation - Megan - 05-03-2020

Chris frowned at Conor. "I'm not a child. You can't make me do anything. Neither of you are my parents! I have every right to be angry about this whole mess! And if I want to leave I can...besides...its only out of pity anyway. Soon as you had your 'real' kid you were gonna get rid of me anyway, regardless if I didn't have my memories."

By now, Anita had simply left the cabin - and Conor had finally lost it with Chris.

"None of that's true!" he scowled. "We were still going to care for you, and you were going to be the baby's big brother. And we still are going to care for you. However, part of 'caring for you' is punishing you for bad behaviour. And, ever since you arrived here, you have behaved appallingly - towards Cheryl, towards Anita, and towards me. So, I'm simply going to lock you in the bathroom for an hour - and I hope you'll use the time to reflect on what you've done, and prepare an apology.

Conor then picked Chris up again, placed him down in the bathroom, and locked the door shut.

RE: Reconciliation - Megan - 05-03-2020

Chris immediately banged on the door with his good arm. "Open it! You can't just lock me in here! I'm not your child! You have no right to punish me!"

Poor Cheryl looked to Conor upset. "What are we going to do with him now...?" she asked sniffling.

RE: Reconciliation - Kyng - 05-03-2020

"Take him back to Nestor and Cassandra, I suppose..." Conor suggested, with a sigh. "In fact, I'll write a letter to them now to explain what's happened. We could well be here for another week or more - so, that should give them plenty of time to think about the situation."

"Are you sure he can't go home?" Jocelyn asked. "I don't think he wants to be here - and, to be honest, I don't think you really want him here either :-/ ..."

RE: Reconciliation - Megan - 05-03-2020

"Yes we do! He's our son...c...can't we just re-wipe his memories? Besides there's no where else for him..." Cheryl said shaking her head.

RE: Reconciliation - Kyng - 05-03-2020

"Well, I'm afraid we're not capable of doing that :( ," Conor answered, shaking his head. "I suppose we could try taking him to the hospital, to see whether anybody there can help. But, it's a maternity hospital - so, I don't see why anybody there would be able to help us here :-/ ..."

"I dunno," Jocelyn responded, with a shrug. "Maybe they need to wipe mothers' memories of traumatic births sometimes?"

"Umm, maybe :-/ ," Conor answered. "Might be worth a try..."

RE: Reconciliation - Megan - 05-03-2020

While they were talking Chris had gotten quiet. He had sat down on the floor at this point, starting to cry softly. He stared down at the floor, before looking to his bad leg. Frowning he fiddled with it, starting to take it apart which was fairly easy since it was in bad shape already...then he moved on to his good one...
