Foods that you've always wanted to try - Deleted User 8 - 11-16-2018

I asked before if there's any new foods people have consumed recently and now, I'm curious if there's anything that they've always wanted to try out or, even just interested in it.

For myself, I've always had an interest in goulash which is a Hungarian type of stew, packed with paprika and other spices. My college once served that up years ago though, although had never really bothered with it. May give it a try sometime... the same with others such as jalfrezi (a type of curry made mostly with tomatoes) and Greek food overall. I've only ever had a souvlaki and a gyros from it two years ago, and would like to see what other delights they have :)

I have quite a list of foods that I wanted to try at point or another, and includes some of the following items:

Fish and chips (impossible due to allergic reasons).
Gyros.
Mushroom salad.
Ploughmen's lunch.
And most Armenian dishes.

Are you allergic to just the fish, @"Dust Bowl"? Or that plus the chips? Also, if you're meaning the humble ploughman's sandwich, that's one of my favourites. In fact, I had one today! :D

Also, I wonder what Armenian food's like...

Pretty much any of UK’s stores that’s selling a vegan menu. But seeing as how I don’t live there.... -rolls eyes-

Just the fish... and depends on which one they use, really. But I almost guarantee it'd be on the list of those I cannot eat.

Chips are fine and are one of my favorite dishes.

And yeah, that's the one!

Nothing, because when I want to try something - I normally just try it.

Dom Pérignon.

The reason why I haven't tried it is simple: it's waaaay too expensive (I've seen one restaurant selling it for £150 per glass :O ). However, it'd be nice to know what it is about the taste that justifies the hefty price tag  !

Oh, there's one other I'd love to try if I had the chance... poutine. Apparently it had won the hearts of all Canadians, and I see why ;)

An inversion from the thread title this time... of something that I'd like to try. Ethiopian cuisine. My volunteering place's cafe is serving this up today for the community meal and I feel bad for missing out. Apparently, most of it is vegan so that would be right up @"ObsessedwithBirds"'s street ;)
