What do you think about black holes? -

Are you fascinated by them? From what we hear from Sci-Fi movies, they are these holes that suck everything & anything. Nobody has ever gotten close, not from Earth anyways lol There's the closest one in the Telescopium constellation but it's in the Southern Hemisphere so not visible for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere. Do you think NASA would find even more? Do you think they'd find one that is "too close" to Earth?

They're fascinating indeed.
I've heard suggestions that some of them might be portals to other universes - although that's a very speculative idea with no realevidence to back it up AFAIK. And I've heard that we might one day be able to use them as slingshots to launch spacecraft (like how space probes get gravitational assists from planets now), but that's obviously a long, long way into the future!
I don't expect we'll find one anywhere near Earth - although I am a bit worried that we'll accidentally
make one
