What if Michael Schumacher's skiing accident never happened? - Kyng - 09-22-2018

At the end of the 2012 Formula One season, seven-time World Champion Michael Schumacher retired from the sport for the second and final time. While the German's 2010-12 comeback was largely seen as unsuccessful, he was still widely recognised as one of the greatest drivers of all time, with a whole slew of records to his name - including an as-yet-unmatched 91 race victories.

Sadly, he didn't get to enjoy retirement for very long :( . At the end of 2013, he suffered a catastrophic accident whilst on a skiing holiday with his family, leaving him in a coma and a critical condition. Eventually, he was stabilised, and brought out of his coma; however, he has yet to appear in public since his accident. Little is known about his current condition, because his privacy is closely guarded by his family; however, it's generally assumed that he hasn't made much of a recovery :(

So, what if that accident didn't happen? Would he have tried starting up his own team, as several other champions have done, with varying degrees of success? Or perhaps he would have become a "super-coach" to one of the current drivers - thus bringing a current tennis trend to Formula One? Or maybe he would have changed his career path entirely, and become a charity ambassador, or started up a business unrelated to F1? (The latter path is not unheard of!)

Which track would he have chosen?
