ProStats has received some updates for PHP 8.x compatibility.
(That's for the 'Active Discussions' box on the main index... if you find any issues with that, then this is probably why. But I hope you won't!)

FASTyle has received a second round of updates for PHP 8.x compatibility.
We're getting to the end of this little project now... only two more plugins to go
!

Template Conditionals has received a small update for PHP 8.x compatibility.
(Yes, at last, I've resumed work on this little project!)

FASTyle has received a third (and, hopefully, final) round of changes for PHP 8.x compatibility.
As far as I'm aware, these are the last PHP changes I'll need to make to plugins before upgrading to PHP 8.2.7. So, if all goes well, I'll be able to attempt that this weekend

Thread prefixes are now displayed next to threads on the board index:
This is a stepping stone towards the replacement of the '[OLD NEWS]' tag (and the 'NSFW' tag in Jokes and Internet Humour) with proper thread prefixes. That hasn't been done yet - but it will be soon

"Screen and Stage" has been re-named to "Stage and Screen".
This is because, in practically every non-TCH context, 'Stage' comes first. Indeed, I suspect I myself will have referred to that forum as "Stage and Screen" in the past without realising it
!
Thanks to @
Pyrite for pointing this out

I've moved two groups of threads out of Current Events and Politics:
- Some shop/supermarket news has been moved into Health and Lifestyle (or one of its sub-forums). For example, the "Wilko Collapse" thread has been moved into Home and Beauty (because Wilko mostly sold household products, and therefore, this news would be mostly of interest to people in the market for those products).
On the other hand, some news items that involved a shop (like "Woman lifted 7ft into air by shop shutters") have stayed in Current Events and Politics. This isn't about any of the products that were sold at the shop, or even the shop itself: it's about the woman who was unfortunate enough to have this happen to her . At that point, the subject matter is so far removed from Health and Lifestyle that the thread would look out of place there.
- Some threads about infrastructure projects (e.g. "HS2 to be cut back?") have been moved into the 'Vehicle and Structural Engineering' subforum of Tech and Engineering. Until recently, that forum was called "Technology and Computers" - and therefore, these threads had no place there. However, now that the forum has been re-named to "Tech and Engineering", I would argue that these threads belong in that part of the board.
I hope that makes sense

As a quick announcement, we have now exceeded our final post total from ZetaBoards:
Getting this many posts on ZetaBoards took us eight and a half years - and starting from scratch on our new home, without all of that content, was a rather daunting task. But now, six years later, we find ourselves exceeding the total we had on our first home. I truly never thought we'd reach these heights again - but, here we are
.
Thanks a lot to all of you who helped to make this possible

I have upgraded the [x] tag, so that it now works with x.com URLs, and not just twitter.com URLs

I have now upgraded the Alerts and Likes plugins to their latest versions
.
This was done in an attempt to fix
issues that I've been experiencing recently with Alerts and Likes. Unfortunately, the upgrade did not fix those issues - but at least we've been able to rule out "outdated plugins" as a potential cause of those issues
.
Still, let me know if you run into any other issues with those systems. I did initially run into a problem with not receiving alerts when mentioned in a post - but, that problem appears to be solved now
