The "News not worth its own thread" thread -
Kyng - 06-16-2018
This is a thread for posting minor news updates which aren't worthy of their own thread. Since we're still developing this board, there are likely to be quite a lot of these

.
- I've turned off the alerts for when someone replies to your post (though they are still enabled for when you're quoted);
- I've made a minor update to the registration agreement and Privacy Policy, to reflect the fact that some European countries have set a minimum age of 16 for personal data collection. (In the UK and Ireland, as with most English-speaking countries, this age remains at 13)
Thanks for reading. Chances are, I'll have more soon

A couple more things:
- I've added a series of buttons to the WYSIWYG editor, so that it can do table tags now;
- I've improved the 'Active Discussions' box, so that it displays 5 topics by default, but has a 'Show More/Less' toggle to display up to 15 of them. I've also improved the CSS so that it works better on mobiles (although it only really works well on the responsive themes ATM).
(NOTE you may need to clear your cache in order to get the the 'Active Discussions' box to work properly!)

And another update:
I've fixed the awards and items displays in the "Additional info" profile section

I've re-named some of the buttons to make them easier to understand for people who are used to ZB:
- 'Reply' has become 'Quote';
- 'Quote' has become 'MultiQuote';
- 'Rate' has become 'User Rep' (short for 'Reputation').

Thanks for these changes, CJ! It really was hard to tell which was a single and multi-quote button.

Four updates for today:
- Reinstated the MazeGuy and 'Fight Spambots' links at the bottom of the board;
- Restored the signature scrollbars (that kick in when a signature gets 350 pixels high);
- Re-uploaded the sports and animal emoticons;
- Added a note to the Board Guidelines, stating that the "Prohibited Content" section of the ZetaBoards ToS remains in force for now. (I'm hoping to replace this next week with our own "Prohibited Content" section, which will follow the lines of the ZetaBoards ToS, but will be less strict in places to suit our individual needs)

I've found the 'Active Discussions' box a bit confusing, with the way in which it would only show threads from certain forums.
So, I've modified it so that it shows everything except General Chat, Forum Games, Counting Corner, and Advertising.
Also, I've re-added the award emoticons, and the members' shop emoticons

I've just re-added another batch of emoticons.
Now, all of them are back except for the flags

I've fixed the superscript and subscript tags, since I just discovered that those weren't working properly.

I've re-added the first batch of country emoticons, from A to G:
I also added a few more type-ins for countries that are known by multiple names; for example,

will admit the type-ins "cape-verde" and "cabo-verde"
