I love Sonic, it's my favorite gaming franchise of all time. Am I going to see this movie? You bet I am! But am I okay with Sonic's design? OH DEAR GOD NO! They had many different models to use, heck Progressive had him in a commercial back in 2011 and he looked great! Why they feel the need to make cartoonish characters look too real in movies is beyond me. Most of the Pokemon look pretty bad in Detective Pikachu I'll admit, but they don't look as bad as Sonic does. (Some look fine like Pikachu of course, but Mr. Mime and Aipom... no they look bad. xD) Jim Carrey as Robotnik is going to be great! I see they're going down the origin route for him as he's called Robotnik (which was is localized named used from 1991-1999) at the beginning and doesn't look like the Ivo Robotnik we know, but later on he becomes insane chasing Sonic and looks more like Eggman. Also I completely disagree with those who say sonic should die. All gaming franchises have bad games, and not all of us Sonic fans are crazy.
