Simply post any awful answers or other amusing moments from game shows here :P . I'll start with the one from Pointless that featured at the beginning of the original thread:

And then a more recent one, which I did post somewhere on the old board, but which didn't make it into the original "Funny game show moments" topic, so I think it deserves another airing:

You got any more?
I knew the answer to the ibex question because of Zoo Tycoon 2, and I'm not ashamed to admit that. :P

Here's one of recent times:

And another of distant memory:

There was a channel dedicated to all funny game show moments that I remembered from years back. I wonder if that's still there? :)
Steve Harvey is one of the best game show hosts

Speaking of him, this springs to mind :D

I remember noticing something on twitter about a certain Jeopardy round a few months around the time the last Super Bowl came around. This was pretty funny as a casual American Football fan.

I am an old-school Game Show Head. Having said this, I bring you the ultimate Family Feud funny moment.

This was back during the run of the Great Richard Dawson. We are in the fast money round. Pay close attention to the very first question asked and answered!

Here's one where a contestant on The Chase gets stupidly lucky with a series of difficult questions:

Then, at the opposite end of the luck spectrum, there's this:

On the UK revival of Who Wants to be a Millionaire?, the "Ask the Host" lifeline was pretty unhelpful at times (although, this probably says more about Jeremy Clarkson's general knowledge than about the basic concept of the lifeline :P ).

However, let's not forget, the "Ask the Audience" lifeline could be even less helpful at times:

Then there was an even worse case on the French version of the show, where the audience stumbled on a pretty basic astronomy question. (Basically, "What orbits the Earth? A. The Moon, B. The Sun, C. Mars, D. Venus")

A couple of ridiculous answers from the episode of The Chase that I watched today:

Quote:Q. Which entrance to San Francisco Bay was named by John C. Frémont?

A. Kermit the Frog

Quote:Q. According to the saying, one of what bird does not make a summer?

A. Snowman

No idea where those came from  !
