I literally have to set a stopclock to see how long it takes a contestant to realize the answer is already up there while Steve is trolling the hell of him/her.   Rofl

Now, here's a Robot Wars one. This features a robot called "Pièce de Résistance", which has to be one of the most inept robots to ever participate in the programme. In the first round, it had to complete an assault course, which began with the normally-easy task of knocking down a few bricks:

I love how Sir Killalot eventually dropped the poor robot over the wall - almost as though he felt sorry for it :( !

Amazingly, being dropped over the wall was enough to put Pièce de Résistance through to the second round :O . This time, the idea was to knock over as many barrels as possible. But, you can probably guess how well that went  :

Oh dear :( !
On The Chase, the question was "Who was the leader of the Labour Party during the Falklands War?".

My dad obviously misheard the question, because he immediately answered "Margaret Thatcher".

I would love to see what a Thatcher-led Labour Party would be like  !
Here's one from the UK version of The Apprentice.

The candidates had to obtain a list of nine pieces of equipment, including an "octopus with a 40-inch hose". This was supposed to be a piece of scuba diving apparatus; however, that's not what they got :-/ ...

Now another awful one, from The Chase:

Quote:Q: What symbol of German unification faces the Pariser Platz in Berlin?

A: Swastika

Headdesk Headdesk Headdesk Headdesk
^deserves the big guns, really.

Now, one of the worst ever performances on the UK version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire?:

Skip to 9:45 for the question she got wrong. I feel bad for her poor husband in the audience :( ...
In this thread, I've posted several clips from Pointless and The Chase. For several years now, these have been the UK's main tea-time quizzes: they're both shown on opposite channels around 5pm. This has naturally engendered a good-natured rivalry between the two quizzes... which leads to some amusing banter when one of them gets mentioned on the other :P :

On a classic Family Feud hosted by Ray Combs, is it possible to have a bad game of Fast Money and not even break 100 points?  Watch this!

Oh dear!

I felt bad for the first player... I think nerves just got the better of him :( . As for the second player, he just got unlucky IMO: those answers weren't great, but I didn't think they were that bad (I thought '28' was the only terrible one TBH).
