Yeah, I like the RPG itself, but it is stuck in a bit of a rut at the moment... it's sort of in between things
.
- to explain the "Oxford Wasp" thing, it's a reference to a dream I had a couple of years ago:

Quote:Last night, I thought I was reading a Wikipedia article about the Oxford Wasp, which was infamous for stinging locals and university students. Its yellow stripes had a slight red tinge to them - and it was about 50-60mm from head to tail, making it the third-largest wasp ever found in the United Kingdom. It was eventually captured in the year 1282 - and, to this day, its body is preserved and studied by entomologists working in the university laboratories.
This morning, I did a search for "Oxford Wasp", and found no such article. Either the article was deleted while I was in bed, or I just dreamt the whole thing.

Honestly, I think they should walk out of the tailors and immediately be set upon by a wasp or horde of wasps. It'd move things along for sure.
Maybe the wasps are a hivemind being controlled by a separate gem - and one of the society has turned traitor and wants to seize all the gems for themselves?
I don't want to railroad though, so up to you of course if you want to do this

Hi, I'd like to get into an RPG here, but I feel that the current ones are too far along for me to jump in and join. I have almost no RPG experience, but would love to do one about just about any subject aside from violence or mature content. What would be a good way to start RPG'ing here?

Sounds good to me - and I agree it would probably be better to start a new one than try to join one that's already going (although you could probably join A Confused Wolfplant if you want, since it's not been going for very long, and it has no backstory to read)

Just to say, I'm waiting for other people to post in Searching for a Songbird and The Butterfly Effect, which is why I haven't posted in either of them yet. But happy to do so if it's required to move either plots along - just let me know!
