Okay my story is done. ^^
(TCH entry) "The move" (*Note: I'm posting this from a first person perspective.)
Looking at all of my stuff I was leaving in the small little hole in the wall that was considered a 'home' on TCH, I looked over to the others being transferred over to the new plot of land car by car. I didn't like leaving everything behind, for the new 'owner' to rummage through. I had thought about bringing this up to the Kyng.. But he was busy setting up the new kingdom & his sheriff's & ladies were all busy helping to welcome everyone to their new home.
"Yami, I don't like this. I mean what if the owner goes through all of our stuff? Why can't we just get the option to take it with us? Or maybe ask to come back & get it later after we're done moving to the new place?"
Yami shook his head sighing deeply; "All I know is that; it's a part of the agreement that the new owner has with the old Emperor who Kyng bought this land from. Once Emperor Brandon sold it to Sir Winter for over 10 million gold, it was no longer Kyng's anymore. From what I hear Emperor Brandon has a family & was in need of money."
Shaking my head I sighed; "Look I under stand that, but he should have been up front about everything & not try to hide behind the fact that he sold out at the last possible moment because he has money trouble. Hell we all have money troubles; but that doesn't mean you should throw everyone to the wolves for a few messily pieces of gold." Looking over to everyone as they were moved over to the new plot of land, a lot of people voiced the same as I did. There was no excuse for selling us out to the highest bidder & then decide to not answer any questions from any one no matter who that person was; or how much they might have helped the Emperor prior to selling out to the new owner.
"Do you think the new plot of land will become as beautiful as this place once was?" I asked looking to Yami who shrugged; "I know not. I can only hope it flourishes more." He told me with a smile. Placing a hand on face he says; "As long as we're together it doesn't even matter to me." I giggled & hugged Yami tightly. "Your the best friend I've ever had & I don't know what I'd do without you." He chuckles & says parting from me; "You'd probably be lonely." He winked; when a car pulls up along with a wax pressed letter with the symbol of his majesty Kyng himself. Driving my car over to the new place was Nilla; "You getting in or what?" She asked after rolling the window down from the drivers side of the car. The mail carrier who waited for me just handed me my letter as I said; "Yea, sorry Nilla just chatting with Yami is all." Nilla looks over to see he was standing next to me & shrugs to say; "Come on get & in, your moving over too." While the man hands Yami the same kind of letter I got. We both got into the car; in the back seat. Yami closed his door as Nilla drove the car away; while I waited for Yami to read his letter, I watched where we were heading to.
Looking at us in the back seat through the mirror in the driver's seat while at a stop light, Nilla asked; "Aren't you going to read your letter too queen?" I shook my head & locked eyes with her beautiful blue ones; "That's ok; I'll read mine after Yami reads his. I figure it's a form letter for everyone who Kyng is moving over." Nilla nodded; "I hope you like the new banners. A lot of the place has been redesigned since we moved to the new plot. A lot of work was put into it."
I nodded; "Yea, I'm sure it has, I should know. I've been there myself since I had to move our group too." I told her thoughtfully. Watching as the beautiful land scape went by I wondered just what awaited me & soon enough Nilla honked to say stopping the car once inside the gate; "Here we are!"
I got out of the mid-sized black car & stood with the door wide open; Yami got out & waked over to my side. Walking into the new kingdom was like seeing the opening of a movie. The castle was far away in the back of the town & the town.. Was HUGE. "Holy heck, This new place is huge." I breathed. Nilla laughed while Pyrite saw us & tipped his hat at me & I waved at him; he took the car next to grab the next couple of people from the old place to bring them over.
Nilla walks over with a huge grin to asks; "So you like it? Nice isn't it?"
I was taken aback; "It's just so much bigger then the old kingdom." Nilla says; "Not only that, but those who started out with us in our old kingdom get first call on their homes. So you can have a bigger place if you want."
I shook my head; "That's sweet but, I'm fine with just a place to sleep, & what not. Basically a small hovel is fine." Yami shook his head; "No way, she's staying with me. So I'll take a two story place for us both." I almost declined.. But, I didn't want to make more work for the Kyng's staff so I agreed, I might as well since he was coming over on the usual basis in the old place anyway. I wish Jing would come. I thought, Since he's usually just a part of my community of role players. Things are what they are. I knew, sighing to myself.
Nilla asked Jarko to escorted us to where the builder of the new town was located; thus we were escorted to the north east, towards the palace. There is where Yami & I were greeted by Megan who was busy reading over schematics of the new town layout. "Megan!" Yami & I said in surprised unison. "What are you doing here?" She giggled & hugged us both to say after she scratched the chin of her pet ferret; "I'm actually the one who's going to be setting everyone up. So what kind of place would you like?" I shrugged & left the decision making up to Yami; as he described the house he wanted I decided that my side would be 'shabby chic'; while his was more 'modern/contemporary'.
When we finished we decided to look around & see how everyone was. Every one seemed to arrive in the new place just fine as Kyng's staff took turns bringing in more members. But the more people came in & the more things changed.. The more I felt that I was alone.
"I don't know if moving was a good thing." I told Yami quietly. "Everyone has scattered who were a part of Emperor Brendon's, Zeta Empire. Some of us went into the same kind of plot, while others moved to different places & are either having a harder time.. Or just gave up." Looking around & realizing that things had changed so much I shook my head & said with tears in my eyes; "I.. I don't know if I fit in here anymore." Yami placed a hand on my shoulder & says; "Hey come on, you fit in fine." I wasn't sure, so I decided to ask around if they felt the same way. Over some time, I came to find out that a lot of us who moved from the old Empire to the new plot now owned by our Kyng & helped by lady Megan: felt the same. I was revealed, & came to realize that we all feel this way because we're all so different. A lot of us who are in the kyngdom; who moved aren't originally from when it was begun. More so since; I myself joined the Kyngdom sometime in 2014 & the Kyngdom started sometime in 2004. Though the welcome to the kyngdom changed apparently; along with most of the Kyng's staff.. The mood for the kyngdom remained the same from what I've come to learn over time.
Over time every one got settled & the move was a huge success. But with success comes some drama. Niawen who was a huge contribute to the kyngdom, eventually was banished from it. She had become too emotionally out of hand & had insulted not only his majesty Kyng but Lady Nilla & that was just not done. Thus she was banished, never to be seen with in the kyngdom again. I for one felt a bit sorry for Naiwen, I thought she needed a lot more help then she was getting in her life. But, one can not judge what one can not understand. Thus it's best to just let it go.
In time everything begun to settled down. As new members started to join, new friends were made. Everything was moving along as it should, the kyngdom was gaining new people. Exciting things were going on, as many announcements were made. Things were good. As it should be. But still... Deep down I still wondered; do I fit in? I know I don't talk about myself much. I feel that the Kyngdom I come to visit from time to time is just a place to enjoy the people & what they bring to the place. No more no less, as is the way of things.
