What's Good My People!

The Game fan in me and the Old School Game show fan in me collided and brought back a game that was recently removed and brought four "friends" with it.

CARD SHARKS: MONEY CARDS
This is one of my favorites. If you play your cards right in this game, you can amass up to $32,000. Remember this poem:
Aces are High
Deuces are Low
Call it right
And win the Dough!

CLASSIC CONCENTRATION CAR GAME
You set the timer. You have 15 numbers. Each one has cars behind it. Your job is to match the cars. The Last car you match is the car you win. There's also a DREAM CAR EDITION to play!

TIC TAC DOUGH "BEAT THE DRAGON" GAME
In this you have a normal Tic-Tac-Toe board with a crazy twist. On this board you have nine numbered spaces. Behind them, you have six cash amounts, a "TIC", a "TAC" and a DRAGON! You have to rack up $1,000 or pick the "TIC" and the "TAC" in order to get the DOUGH (Hence the name of the show). Remember, there's a Dragon on the board. You pick him, YOU LOSE!

THE JOKER'S WILD "FACE THE DEVIL" GAME
If you paid attention to Snoop Dogg's version of this same game, this is the original version. There are cash amounts ranging from $25 all the way up to $200. Your job: rack up $1,000. If you hit a "Natural Triple" (ex: $25 | $25 | $25) it's an automatic win. But beware, there is a Devil on the board. If The Devil appears at anytime, YOU LOSE.

There you have it. Fun for you, fun for me, it's at the arcade under the Blue and Red B's!

I have made some changes and some still to come for the month of October.

First of all, the Arcade games are in its own section. All you have to do is look at the submenu and you can find the link next to the Login/Logout link. The games haven't changed, the location however, has.

For the month of October, I will be adding new variations of my main site logo for what I consider ALL CANCER AWARENESS MONTH. My current site logo is Blue and Red. This October, it will go as Purple and Pink. The site itself will be colored with two colors as well... French Rose and my birthstone color Amethyst.

I'm also asking you to share your stories of triumph over cancer. If you have any stories of someone you know and/or love who has fought cancer (bravely) until the end, whether they survived, in remission or gone Home to Glory, I would like you to celebrate these brave people in the YouByte section.

I never thought I'd use a quote from Donald Trump, but this just seems like the perfect time and the perfect place to use it.

Cancer is the enemy of the people!

It's Beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Bethea's Byte!

The Byte has it's Christmas Decorations up and the Spirit of Christmas will be in full force. I will personally have a Christmas song post in our music section thanks in large part to YouTube!

For the moment, I have taken off the music player that I had on top of the forum. I will bring it back after Christmas!

I just finished putting up a ticker with a lot of news links. My question to you my friends is this: For the links, should I use the standard "CLICK HERE" or should I use a bit from my signature "BYTE THIS" simply saying "BYTE"?

Help a guy out! Please!

Since this is directly relevant to your forum, I've decided to merge this into your Advertising thread. (I trust that the intent of the new thread isn't necessarily to advertise; however, since it's impossible to understand or answer the question without first visiting the forum, it'd function as a second advertising thread in practice. So that other people don't start doing stuff like this with the intent of circumventing the "One advertising thread per forum" rule, I've merged the threads, to set a precedent if nothing else

Myself, I'd probably go with 'CLICK HERE'. It keeps things clear and easy to understand, which is what's needed for something prominent like this.

(I trust that the intent of the new thread isn't necessarily to advertise; however, since it's impossible to understand or answer the question without first visiting the forum, it'd function as a second advertising thread in practice. It's just, I don't want to open the floodgates in a way that would compromise the advertising rules for everyone else, if that makes sense.

I'm going to be brutally honest with you here. Although the forum looks good by aesthetics and all that, it is struggling very badly with activity. Nearly all the threads you make have no replies whatsoever and you've not had a new member in almost two months. Plus, it seems that most of the posts are going to the off-topic sections and hardly any serious discussion goes on there, not even from the headlines you write about to get people's attention. At least though, you managed to get a thousand posts overall. I suggest that you promote the forum more and maybe make use of SEO if you can or, something else that I know of would help you a lot more (and I can by PM).

I know things had been difficult for you when you were forced out of ZetaBoards like most of us and that you were on the verge of giving up when IcyBoards was to go also but, I still think you need to put more work onto it rather than just running it. It can have potential if it can actually go somewhere.

Just my two cents.
