Diane frowned. “Isn’t this a bit mean?” She asked watching Tom struggle.
"Maybe," Nestor conceded, "but I don't think he gave us any choice. It was either this, or just leave him there to suffer. Or, if I hadn't deployed the mersock, then we'd be listening to his constant whining."

As Tom began to rock around in protest, Nestor almost dropped his end of the stretcher. "HEY, stop that -_- !!!!"
"Alexis, you can't approve of this!" Diane breaded looking upset, as she watched Tom struggle even harder.
"Put him down, please," Alexis ordered.

Nestor sighed, as he reluctantly stopped walking, and placed his end of Tom's stretcher down on the ground. Alexis then turned around, and removed the mersock from Tom's mouth, to give him an opportunity to speak.

"Fine, what's the matter, Tom?" Nestor asked, sounding a bit irritated. "And don't say you don't want to be saved. You clearly have neither the physical nor the mental capacity to make rational decisions for yourself - which is why we're having to make them for you."
"I...I don't want to be!" Tom cried. "No one wants me around anymore...I'll just be by myself anyway...except maybe for Jane...though she'll probably hate me too..."

Diane frowned. "I don't hate you, Tom..."
"Well, here's another suggestion," Nestor responded, with a cheeky grin. "How about, the two of us take you up the mountain. Then, when we get to the summit, we can tip you down into a ravine, and you can die in peace there Smirk ?"

Alexis gasped in shock - forcing Nestor to whisper into his ear to clarify the situation. "I have no intention of actually doing that... it's just a trick to lure him into letting us help him..."
Tom was quiet a moment. "Fine, if you do that I'll go."

Diane not hearing Nestor gasped. "Alexis! You can't!"
Nestor turned to Diane, in order to whisper to her what he had previously told Alexis.

While he was busy doing that, Alexis picked up his end of the stretcher once again. "Well, what are you waiting for? Let's go B-) !"
"Oh...okay." Diane said looking a bit relieved as she watched both boys pick Tom up in the stretcher. She walked ahead of them, toward the mountain once again.
By the time they reached the foothills of the mountain range, Tom was starting to quieten down. As his friends carried him along, he spent all his time and energy taking in the natural beauty of the surrounding trees, rivers, animals, and other scenery. After all, he believed that this was the last time he was going to see any of it - since the plan was that he would die up here.

However, by this point, Nestor was starting to grow tired. "Can she take over, please?" he requested, pointing to Diane.
