"It's the parsley's fault!" Nestor whined. "It wouldn't come out of the ground, even when I tugged it really hard! Cassandra doesn't trust me with the clippy things, so I needed to grab them and pull them out manually... but I pulled a bit too hard and faceplanted into the mud..."

Nestor then looked up, and adopted a more cheerful tone. "On the plus side, I've told Sandra that we aren't getting that parsley again next year. She'll look for one that's easier to pick :) ."
Kyle rolled his eyes. “I’ve never seen anyone so clumsy...” he grumbled with a sigh.
"Hey, at least I admit I'm clumsy!" Nestor protested. "I'm not like your father... he always insisted he was completely stable before toppling over on the floor!"

Meriandra rolled her eyes. "Ermm, you don't always admit you're clumsy... you just tried to blame parsley for your silly accident..."

"Fine," Nestor growled. "I admit it most of the time."
“Dad was never clumsy.” Kyle said shaking his head. “Just you!”
"Well, I guess he didn't tell you?" Nestor retorted, with a smirk. "Sounds just like him. He was never able to admit when he was wrong..."

Suddenly, Nestor had a slightly horrifying thought. "Tom was cured of his balance issues by the magic of the mountain... but, that magic extinguished itself in order to save Kyle's life. So... does that mean that Tom has started toppling over again :hehe: ???"
Kyle was quiet a moment before sighing. He didn’t like to think of his father anymore. “I guess...”
"Well, I think I should go see him... there's something I need to know from him," Nestor stated, suppressing a cheeky smirk.

However, a couple of seconds later, he realised that there would be a problem.

"He'll get extremely mad at me when I don't give you back, though... so, what should I say to him :-/ ?"
Kyle was quiet a moment. “If it’ll cause problems you can give me back...”
"I can't," Nestor asserted. "Your dad will simply abuse you again, and I can't allow myself to become responsible for that. And besides, if I did that, then Aliana would never forgive me. Anyway, I must discuss this matter with my generals... see you later, and behave!"

Nestor charged out of the hospital - and, for once, successfully negotiated the way up to his war room, where his generals were waiting to discuss military plans with him.

"As you know, relations between myself and Tom have become strained over the past months, due to the issue with Kyle," Nestor explained. "However, I would like to obtain information regarding Tom's present condition. When he was a teenager, he had a botched brain surgery which caused him to become incredibly unstable, and fall over every few seconds.- What eventually cured him was magic healing power from a mountain in Lennart Kingdom - a power which he eventually passed on to Kyle. That magic has now been spent on saving Kyle's life - and so, I have a suspicion that Tom is once again toppling over every time he takes a few steps. I wish to find out whether my suspicions are correct; however, I do not wish to visit Lennart Kingdom myself, due to the current diplomatic state with King Tom. Therefore, I propose we send out a spy mission to discover this information."
“Who could we send?” One of the generals questioned.

”What about Conor?” Another suggested.

Kyle sighed. He honestly didn’t want to go home, but he didn’t want to cause problems either. He never wanted to see his dad again...
