Aliana winced at this reply: Kyle obviously wasn't taking care of his own personal security, if he was simply leaving his bedroom door open for extended periods like this. However, she decided that now wasn't the time to start another argument - so, she opted not to comment on it. Instead, she simply pushed the door open - where she found Kyle still lying in his bed, looking a dishevelled mess.
"Umm... would you like to tidy yourself up a bit before we go
?" Aliana asked awkwardly.
Kyle sighed. "I..." he looked away. "I can't get to the bathroom really to..." he said pointing at his two broken legs. "That's why my door was still open..."
Aliana gulped: she felt a bit bad for judging Kyle, even though she hadn't actually said anything.
"Oh... I bet that's annoying
," she responded, looking rather pitiful. "I'll get your stuff for you, I guess..."
As Aliana placed Kyle's comb and toothbrush on his bedside table, she offered a suggestion. "Perhaps we need a magic key, so you can open and close your door from your bed..."
Kyle shrugged. “Well I wouldn’t bother till we know you won’t need to give me up...” Kyle said sighing as he began cleaning himself up a bit.
Lysander just happened to be passing by - and, when he overheard Kyle, he shoved the door open, and burst into song.
"Oh, she's never gonna give you up!" he screeched. "Never gonna let you down! Never gonna run around and-"
"SHUT UP
!" Aliana screamed, as she spitefully shrunk Lysander to the size of a baby. "Leave Kyle alone!"
Kyle sighed looking away looking a bit upset. “Can...we just go, Aliana?”
"Sure, once you've finished doing your hair, we can go
," Aliana agreed, trying her best to suppress a laugh as Lysander scampered off down the corridor.
Meanwhile, Cassandra and Lydia placed the stretcher by his bedside, ready to transfer Kyle across. "We'll just let you finish, then we'll move you onto here
."
Kyle did his best to brush his hair, but as was usual it still was messy, but that’s how it usually was. “I’m ready, I guess.”
Aliana smiled happily, as she placed Kyle's hair brush back on his bedside table. His hair was still messy, of course - but she was satisfied that it was no messier than usual.
"Okay... stay still please..." Lydia urged, as she and Cassandra picked him up by his shoulders and ankles - and gently transferred him across to the stretcher, ready to start his fateful journey.
Kyle sighed. He never would get used to needing so much help.
With Kyle finally ready they headed out to the carriage that was waiting outside. After carefully loading Kyle in the others got in and headed for Lennart Castle.
