Aliana nodded, and smiled broadly, as she prepared to leave. However, in her exchange with Kyle, she'd completely forgotten someone else.
"PUT ME BACK
!!!!" Nestor squeaked angrily, as he jumped up and down in Aliana's hand. "NOW!!!!"
"Fine..." Aliana grumbled, as she placed her father back on the ground, then returned him to his normal size. However, instead of admonishing or punishing Aliana further, he simply stormed out of the room, and dashed off down the corridor.
Once he was out of sight, Aliana closed the door, and turned to Kyle once again. "Before I go... would you like a kiss
?"
Kyle blushed lightly before nodding. “Y...yes...”
Aliana slowly leaned in, and gave Kyle a kiss on the lips before leaving. "See you later
!"
Several hours later, Nestor was at it again. He had given up on getting Aliana married - so, instead, he decided to try Lysander. He'd spent a few hours inspecting the market streets for a suitable partner - and, in the end, he found one begging next to a small fountain. She looked quite worse for wear (she had a torn brown shirt and apron, untidy black hair, and a crooked nose); however, she was the best he could find.
"Come with me," he demanded, as he pointed straight at the bewildered young woman. "I've got an important job for you..."
The woman looked scared. “I...what do you want?” She demanded refusing to move.
"Can't tell you right now," Nestor responded, shaking his head. "But it is important. And I'm sure you'll like it: it'll get you off the streets, and it'll put a roof over your head. Come with me, and I'll tell you what it is."
The woman still frowning got up and followed after Nestor finally.
About ten minutes later, Nestor arrived at Lysander's temple, with the beggar looking a bit timid and anxious, but still dutifully following him.
However, Nestor was anything
but timid. He excitedly grabbed the poor woman's wrist, then smashed his son's door down, and dragged her inside.
"Andy
!" he called out cheerfully. "I've found a wife for you!!!"
Lysander groaned at the sound of Nestor. Slowly he went to the door. “What are you going on about?”
Nestor smiled, and held his arm out to reveal the beggar - who was now screaming and struggling to break free. "I've got someone you can marry
. I just found her on the streets... I'm sure she'll be very pleased to have a roof over her head for once!"
"GET OFF!" the beggar demanded, as she tugged at Nestor's arm. "Let me GO!!!!"
Lysander made a face. “We! Who’d want to marry that?! No way!”
