"Of course
," Aliana agreed. "If you try to walk across the room, then I'll kiss you
. I can go alongside you if you want, to catch you if you fall..."
"Okay!" Nestor blubbered. "You can stay here! We could always send Benjamin, I suppose... how's his magic doing?"
One of the councilmen rolled their eyes. "I don't know...doubt its too good. If you send him you might as well send Kyle." he said laughing.
Kyle sighed, then nodded. "Okay...I guess..." he said slowly getting off his bed.
"You know, that's... actually not a bad idea..." Nestor remarked.
Conor thumped the desk with his fist. "Of
course it's a bad idea
! Don't you know he's having a hard time walking?!"
Aliana gave off a broad smile, as she placed her hand gently around Kyle's waist. "Good luck, Kyle..."
Kyle looked pouty as he tried to walk forward. He made a few steps before he started to fall.
Cassandra glared at Nestor. “Kyle has been through quite enough! He’s still struggling!”
Nestor was losing patience. "Well, if not me, and not you, and not Chris, and not Benjamin, and not Kyle, then... who
?"
Aliana managed to catch Kyle just in time to stop him from falling. Once he was steady again, she gradually turned her head towards him, smiling proudly.
"Well done, Kyle! Would you like some kisses now
?"
“Don’t you have anyone else?” Cassandra asked frowning.
Kyle frowned. “B...but I couldn’t do it...”
Nestor scratched his head for a moment. "I suppose we could send Rupert. He doesn't have much experience of spying, but he is honourable and trustworthy, and he's proven himself adept at learning new skills. What do you say?"
"I know, but you tried," Aliana responded encouragingly. "And that's what's important to me. If you keep trying, then you'll do it one day. But, for now... would you like some kisses?"
Cassandra nodded. “Sounds good to me.”
Kyle eagerly nodded. “Y...yes...”
"Of course
", Aliana replied, blushing intensely.
She then leaned forwards and kissed Kyle repeatedly - first on the forehead, then on the cheeks, and finally on the lips. "There, that enough for you
?"
Meanwhile, Jocelyn had finally made it back to Lennart Castle - and it didn't take her long to find Frederick and Gideon in the Great Hall. She'd stopped crying by now; however, she was still visibly upset about the whole ordeal.
"Jocelyn
!" Gideon cried. "We were so worried about you... what happened
?"
Jocelyn sighed. “I...I saw Chris...” she said before explaining the whole thing. “He doesn’t remember me anymore now...”
Kyle sighed. “I suppose...for now.”
