Hi there,

I'd like to apologise for the brief down-time that we experienced this evening. Apparently, the domain name expired, and didn't auto-renew for whatever reason (I set it to auto-renew when I purchased it in June 2018, but it didn't happen this year  ).

Anyway, I've now renewed the domain name for another year, so, we're back online :D .

Sorry for the inconvenience!
Glad all is well with the forum! Since I'm on Proboards, I don't have to worry about that. But when/if I ever get out, I'd be sure to set reminders so mine don't expire. Wonder why your auto-renew didn't go through?

I believe it's because my debit card expired. I did put the new one in, but apparently it wasn't set up correctly for auto-renewals.

It is now, though :) .

Then you'll be pleased to know the issue has been resolved for next year's renewal :D .

I guess... I guess it'll have to do. *sniffles*
Glad you fixed it quick. There's always people sniping for popular domains (that's why one of the most iconic Abandonware sites EVER went offline).

Yeah, it's a good thing we didn't let it fall into the hands of some new Tapatalk service that charges £500 to use emojis or whatever  .

There's a grace period when a domain expires. It can vary, but it's usually 30 days after expiration.

Indeed, we were well within the grace period. (I think it might even have been 70 days with our registrar, but don't quote me on that!)

I remember that both HOTU and La Puta Parka were snipped immediately and held for ransom... BUT that was twenty years ago.
