Thread descriptions now appear again .

I assume they must have gone missing when we upgraded the software; however, it's taken until now for me to notice . In any case, it should be resolved now!

The "Review" prefix is now available in the Technology and Computers forum.

Previously, it was only in Health and Lifestyle; Entertainment; and The Gaming Table. However, I figure people might want to review tech products (and, already has done one here ), so I enabled the 'Review' prefix in that section too.

I just noticed that the PC-based themes had two 'Arcade' links in the header. This was likely around for quite a while (I wouldn't know since I barely use the PC-based themes )

Anyway, I've removed one of the two links, so there's only one (as there should be )

When starting a thread or using the full reply, there was previously a 'Username' row, with a 'Change User' link:



This has now gone. It didn't really serve any purpose: there's no reason why anybody here would want to log out while making a new post, and it's annoying when clicked accidentally. (I get that it's useful on RPG boards, where users might regularly switch between multiple accounts - but, on a board like TCH, where people are only permitted one account, there's no point whatsoever)

I've belatedly awarded a bunch of Arcade Medals, as follows:

• wins a Bronze Medal for exceeding 1,500 points in Snake;
  
  
• wins a Silver Medal for exceeding 100,000 points in Tetris, and another Silver Medal for exceeding 2,500 points in Snake;
  
  
• wins 2x Gold Medals for exceeding 250,000 points in Tetris, and a Bronze Medal for exceeding 25,000 points in Pac-Man;
  
  
• wins a Bronze Medal for exceeding 1,500 points in Snake.

I have modified the "Members' Announcements and Introductions" and "Birthdays and Celebrations" boards, so that they only show posts from the last 20 days (unless you deliberately choose to view older threads).

This is because we've recently had a number of people posting in months-old introductions and birthday threads (I believe with no ill intent - I'm not sure if they even realised how old these threads were - but it does cause confusion when they're revived). I'm hoping that showing only the last 20 days' worth of posts will cut down on this.

A couple of updates relating the the Avatar Gallery:

• Updated the Avatar Gallery plugin to the latest version (to fix PHP errors);
  
• The Avatar Gallery now shows up in the responsive themes (previously, it was unavailable in these).

After updating the Avatar Gallery plugin to the latest version... I've just updated the Thread Description plugin as well .

This fixes a couple of bugs in that plugin; for example, the description will no longer be erased on editing.

And, the latest in my series of plugin updates... I've updated MentionMe from version 3.2.8 to version 3.2.12 . 

This should fix a bunch of bugs - although, if you notice any new ones that have been introduced, then let me know and I'll look into them!

While I was attempting to tackle the Thread Views bug, I spotted that the Thread Description plugin was out of date. So, I updated it to the latest version .

That hasn't fixed the bug; however, it has added thread descriptions within the threads themselves, which I guess is kinda neat .

EDIT: And now the Thank You/Like plugin has also been updated (from version 2.1.0 to version 3.4.2 ). Again, hasn't fixed the bug, but it was something that needed doing at some point!
