I have now made a small update to the "Style Usernames" plugin, in preparation for a forthcoming upgrade to PHP 8.x. (This plugin has not received an official release for five years now; however, I was able to implement the suggested fix from this post, which got it to work :) )

Faster!!! Work faster!!! This is a sweat shop, not a vacation!!! 🧐

He only worked 12 hours today. Part timers, I say!!! 😒
Don't worry, I'm getting there  !

FASTyle has now received some minor modifications to make it compatible with PHP 8.
I have made a small update to the Thread Description plugin (for PHP 8 compatibility), and also updated the Automention plugin to the latest version (1.4.0).

While I was doing this, I also changed one of the settings, so it now matches anywhere inside usernames (for example, if you type "", then 's username will come up as one of the options). Hopefully, that'll make it somewhat more useful :) !
The Page Manager plugin has received a small update to make it fully compatible with PHP 8.x.

So, if you see anything wrong with the board rules or Award Gallery, then that's probably why... you shouldn't do, but I'm letting you know, just in case  .
My changes to NewPoints (for PHP 8.x compatibility) have been brought over now. Since it's such a large and complex plugin, I can't say for sure if I've fixed all of them; however, I fixed all the ones that I was able to find.

Do let me know if you find any issues with the Coffee Credits system... if you do, it may well be a result of my changes!
I have removed the Registration Checkboxes plugin.

This is the first (and, hopefully, only) casualty of my PHP 8.x upgrade plans: when I tried to install it on my test board, I was running into Error 403 issues. This error has nothing to do with PHP 8.x itself (I reset the test board to PHP 7.2.34, and got the same problems) - but it does prevent me from testing the plugin for PHP 8.x compatibility (and because the plugin was last updated in 2015, I wouldn't fancy its chances).

Anyway, I was only using this plugin for one thing (namely, to tick the "Hide your email address from other members" option by default when registering) - and a far better way to accomplish this is with a one-line change to member.php. So, I'm just doing that now, instead of having an entire plugin just to do it  .
Avatar Gallery has received some minor updates, for PHP 8.x compatibility. (It was already made compatible with PHP 8.0 in 2021 - so there wasn't much that needed doing to bring it into line with PHP 8.2 standards)

Still a few plugins to go, but we're getting there :) !
MyAlerts has received some updates for PHP 8.x compatibility.

Fortunately, one of the MyBB developers has taken care of this already - so, all I needed to do was install their updates  .
Rin Editor has received some updates for PHP 8.x compatibility.

These changes are pretty minor; however, it is one of our most complicated (and most important) plugins, so I'm still worried that this is going to break something. If you do notice anything wrong, let me know!
